Upstate New York
Yes, there is a state outside of the city. While the Big Apple clearly dominates the state of New York, the rest of the state has its own ecosystem, political structure and environment. The Adarondack Mountains are famous for their Gangrel and Lupine populations, and the Finger Lakes have often had whispered rumors of Fey. There are three main concentrations of Kindred, however, oustide of the Big Apple and they are listed below.
Buffalo
The biggest and most prominent of the three cities, it is also the safest Camarilla stronghold. It has a large city, Welland, on the other side of Niagara Falls that is a Sabbat archdiocese. There are many more Kindred here than are listed, but only these should be of import and public awareness. There are three street influences in Buffalo that are relevant for any issue you may be pursuing here.
Dorough
A prominent Nosferatu, known for disappearing for long periods of time, even for a Nosferatu.
Grace
The Prince of Buffalo. She is Tremere, and a potent progeny of the previous Prince, Lord Kendrick Bane. She has earned Camarilla praise for her handling of recent Camarilla-Sabbat tension relief events and has held her city together during a difficult time. She is widely rumored to be up for a promotion within the Tremere pyramid.
Kari Justice
A young Tremere, well respected and quite astute.
Lord Kendrick Bane
The mythical missing Prince of Buffalo, he disappeared during a Sabbat siege some five years ago. Widely rumored to still be alive or otherwise be in hiding, Grace maintains she has no knowledge of his whereabouts or whether he is still alive. Widely believed to be dead.
Rochester
Rochester is a unique city. Neither Sabbat nor Camarilla, Rochester is ruled by three identical appearing young girls, who are all rumored to be extremely powerful Thaumaturges and Illusionists. Definitely a group to be frightened of. Nobody who enters their city gets out again. At least not intact. There is definitely tension between the Tremere of Buffalo and the Kindred of Rochester.
Syracuse
Although a Camarilla city, Syracuse is largely ignored by the rest of New York. Although it has a Prince and a small Primogen, none of the Kindred here are generally of the nature or the ability to be of much concern or interest.
Clarion
A Ravnos who is known to travel throughout the east coast, but is most commonly associated with Syracuse. He has a travelling circus which accompanies him on his travels. Or perhaps vice versa. He is rumored to have some deaings with the Rochester Kindred.
Fenrick Lowell
The Prince of Syracuse, Fenrick Lowell is a largely ineffective Toreador. The city’s just not big enough for anyone else to want or care about the job.
Rhiannon
A local Gangrel who doesn't take much interest in politics, she is akin to a town hermit. Rumored to be heavy on wicca.
Voltaire
The city’s Tremere Regent, he is new to his post. His predecessor, Chelsea Gray, now holds the prestigious Regentship of the Manhattan Chantry.
