In the year 2010, political factions in various countries came together to form a new military and political alliance. Countries were destroyed from the inside, leaving the world vulnerable. This enabled another group, the Delta Force, to sweep across the world, conquering and destroying, with little major resistance. The last of the non-Delta Force soldiers were slaughtered on July 25, 2025, in a valiant attempt to save their freedom. The Delta Force suffered few casualties from this battle.
Scientists worked day and night, trying to unlock the secret to hyperspace (faster-than-light) travel, but the Delta Force began to build their own spaceships, sans weapons, shields, and a hyperspace drive. But, on September 25, 2031, the breakthrough in hyperspace technology came, and Delta Force's ships were outfitted with the missing components.
Disaster struck, however, when renegades stole several ships, and, through another security breach, another group of rebels stole even more Delta Force ships. The Delta Force fleet finally lifts off on July 14, 2032. The fleet heads towards Mars, to set up a new, Martian base. On their return, they are ambushed by a group of renegades, flying stolen Delta Force ships.
You are a member of a great clan of warriors, known as the Stormdragon clan, and you are one of the few pilots qualfied to fly an X-33F. One day, you are contacted by the Delta Force Space Division, and are asked to carry some cargo and escort the fleet.
