Well, Yuuichi is a life long friend of Bunta. They use to travel together and race when they were young. He owns the gas station in which Takumi works and always keeps an eye out on him to see how he progresses in the racing world. Yuuichi is like a reporter to Bunta, if he hears any shocking news, he'll tell Bunta right away but mostly Bunta wouldn't care. Yuuichi also has a good understanding of cars but he still fears the way Bunta drives. Whenever they go night riding to test out the 86, Yuuichi will have to grab on to endure Bunta's reckless driving. Overall, Yuuichi gives good advice to his crew at the gas station (basically, the speedstars members and Takumi). |  |
