Takumi Fujiwara

Takumi Fujiwara is the main character of Initial D. He has learned to drive from his dad,Bunta Fujiwara when he was about 12. For 5 years, he would deliver tofu on Akina Mountain everyday. Takumi quickly learned how to race down the mountain and at the age of 18, his skill was recognized in his first race against Keisuke Takhashi. He won the race and became known as the driver of the Akina 86. Many challengers seek out to defeat the 86 legend only to be another victim to Takumi's tremendous drifting abilities as he blows by them with his 86.

Despite the fact Takumi is such a good street racer, his personality is well, kind of dull. He usually daydreams and head of into confusing thoughts. His knowledge of cars is limited to just knowing how to drive. However, as the story progresses, Takumi's thoughts of racing changes as well as his relationship. He is kind of dating Natsuki until he finds out that she was seeing someone else.

Takumi is overall an incredible person with supernatural skills in racing and he cares for the well being of his friends as well.
