
This is a small Misc. addition for things other then editing. I through this up here to show some people how much fun a military space stragety game can be with some of the greatest geniuses at Pomperaug.
Here is a little overview:
Three of the most powerful races in the univserse, all striving for their own lifestyle. Some for land, some for resourses. Others for peace, for tranquility. Others with vengence and murderous crazes. All make up StarCraft. Real Time Stragety game based on a future in the 24st-25nd centuries. Mining minerals and refining gas enables all three races to produces many warriors to defeat the other.
Terrans: The humans: runaway crimminals used as science experimentation with space colonization. After many centuries of exile from Earth, these humans created their own society in space with advanced weapondry and machinary. Their mobile buildings allow flexibility when a battle strikes and when a quick escape is needed. But these humans have plans to become the dominating race in all the universe. They spread around many worlds overcoming every opposition in their path. They hope to gain control of the minds of the Zerg as an army, but end up killing many of them anyways. The Protoss keep engaging in the Terran's business and therefore, have developed a hate for these warriors that are the only race that can challenge them, supposedly!
Protoss: The advanced humanoids, created by a god-like race called the Xel'Naga. They lack fightning spirit that their creators intended and their confusion caused many revolutions within them; had forces the Xel'Naga to abandon them and leave them to their own doings. Fortunately for them they reformed together as a whole, putting all arguments aside and finding ways to increase their "khala" (similar to East Indian beliefs of Islam.) Protoss have disliked Terran for their misuse of resourses and hate Zerg for ravaging their home planet, of Auir. They fight for a just cause, and for their lives!
Zerg: The perfect race, says their creator, the Xel'Naga. That is, until the Zerg became uncontrollable and destroyed them. The Zerg have their own ideals to becoming the Perfect Race. They assimiliated many important organisms that will benifit the swarm. But most of these assilimilations have changed these one time peacful creatures before into blood lusting animals. They as a race have no mercy and have known to devour the own kind. All for benifitting the swarm! A brilliant tactical race with a very fast reproduction rate, faster then any race, they can easily overwhelmn nearly anyone if not properly attended to. The Zerg wish to destroy the Terran, because they wish to get revenge for what the did to try to control them. The Zerg wish to conquor the Protoss and assimilate parts of them to becoming the perfect race


Favorite Units
Firebats - The perfect close combat unit. Armed with wrist mounted flamethrowers, these units can butcher through even Protoss Zealots, with the extra range, longer then their psi blades. These work well against a lot of the close combat troops and are veryeffective in bunkers and direct base attacks. But not good for hitting large units, strickly for worker and base attack.
Siege Tanks - The perfect unit for base defense and base attack. While in it's normal mode, it does a good amount of damage and can rip smaller melee units apart in one hit. But it is extremely effective with the deploy of the Shock Cannon. It sacrifices mobility for a large canons that does almost twice as much damage with a large splash effective. The Zerg don't have a chance.
Medics - Oh, I think I'm in love! These units are the answer to Marine rushes. Now with a squad of 12 marines and 4 medics, you are basically invincible. A medic can heal all units that take damage from battle. They also can restore some permanent effects on troops such as parasites, blindness, and ensnare. Finally, they also can blind troops. It brings down their sight to a minimum and all detectors that are hit cannot detect cloaked units anymore.
Wraith Fighters - A small one man fighter with the abilities to cloak. Now thats a perfect way to infiltrate bases unnoticed with a squad or two of these. Their air to ground burst laser doesn't do so much damage so I use them mostly to defend or attack air units, such as Carriers or Gurdians, their Gemini Missles are fast and powerful against all air targets. While they can be butchered through if detected or if in small numbers, the stength for these guys is numbers, they can overwhelm many opponents.
