Calabro Conversion

Survival Guide!

Here is a list of some Important things that appear in the stories, that many wouldn't understand, or need a description of.

Chi Attacks/Power-ups

Big Boom Attack: A huge "chi" bolt of incredible destructive power. The person holds one flat palm forward towards his enemy and launches the bolt. It is equal in size of about 3-4 average human beings ontop of each other.

Chi: Means 'energy'. It is the internal energy you generate when you attack something. Every living being has "chi," but many may increase their "chi" in a sence that they can focus it and fire it as a projectile or as a shield to defend. Also known as ki

Chou Kamehameha: Just like a normal Kamehameha, except the warrior charges the beam's energy longer for a larger, more damaging attack. It is usually chanted by "KA...ME...HA...ME...HA!!" The Chou is translated to English as Ultimate.

Desperation Attack: A combo used by Zuk or even any other fighter. More or less, it is a stringed combo of several powerful kicks and punches, then ended with the most powerful attacks the user utilizes. For Zuk, for example, it is the Ryo-Ken (Dragon Punch) and the Genki-Dama. It is used when the hero is low on energy and goes all out in hopes of finishing their opponent. It takes a lot of energy but, strikes nearly 100% of the time.

Fusion: This technique is used to combine two people into a single person, and give the fused person a huge power boost (sum of each person's power). Anyone can do the Fusion, but you have the approximate same power as whoever you fuse with, and you must learn the correct pose and form. It's easy to make a mistake and fuse into something far weaker though. Such as a fat fusion, a tiny fusion, or a skinny one The Fusion lasts for as long as the pair wants. But if the pair is fused for too long, they are forced to difuse to rest. Other noted fusions also known as mergings, can combine "lost souls" or clones that have repented and wish to combine with their counterpart for a huge power boost and transformation.

Gekitotsu Buu Buu Volleyball: After trapping someone within a Volleyball (firing a ball that traps them) you beat the ball around a bit before spiking it really hard into the earth or in the sky.

Genki Dama: A large ball of energy gathered from nature, humans, etc., which lend you their energy. It takes no "chi" from a person, but everything else.

Healing Power: See Kaifuku Power

Instantanous Movement:See Shukiden Ido

Kaifuku Power:The ability to completely regenerate people near death. Caitlin's main power to the crew. It doesn't require "chi" but other energy within the user. It can only be used when a fighter is near death and has to be pure of heart (all good, or all evil). Or the effects may not work.

Kaio-ken: This is primarily a power-up move. When summoned forth, the body of the user will flare up in a bright bred flame of "chi" and their muscles and their senses will greatly increase in size and ability to perform. This is a quick attack and can only be sustained for a few moments before the body becomes overheated. It is known that perhaps a lucky person may be able to perform multiples of Kaio-ken's to get ever more power. But some people may just pop like a balloon if their body can't take it.

Kamehameha: It is a powerful "Chi" blast, which to start is charged up held behind the user in cupped hands, then brought forward to release a large blast of energy. It is a relatively quick and easy attack. It is always modified many ways for other attacks.*Note one Chou Kamehamha is equivalent to a Kaio-Ken times ten in power. See Chou Kamehameha, MehaKameha, and Kamehameha Gaeshi.

Kamehameha Gaeshi:The attack to use a beam-like Kamehameha, to counter another large beam. More or less used as a defensive move to block or deflect. It can be guided towards the enemy by moving your arms in opposite directions to curve the beam. Or used as a pop-up manuver, by shooting at the ground.

Kamehameha Wave: Not really concidered a true Kamehameha. But it relies on the same energy value and power. Instead of the normal way, you cup your hands over your head, charge up for a sec and throw them forward and open your hands up and a chain of lightning light beams spread wildly around opponents, making it very hard to counter or even block this attack. Although, it can take a lot of energy to use and can slow a person down as well.

Ki: See Chi

Kiai: This technique is used simply by yelling really loud which disperses weaker "chi" attacks by the formation of a light transparent shiled of "chi."

Kienzan: It is a flat, disc-shaped "chi" blast, which can be used to slice through its target with deadly accuracy (Even weaker fighters use this to make quick work of stronger ones, no defense against it.) Can be controlled!

Kakusan Kikou Ha: A very slow-moving ball of energy that can break into several parts and hits numerous targets. It is very strong and can kill most weaker opponents very easily. It does require a lot of "chi" to use.

Majin Power: To most people, this is not a good thing to have at times. Although as a Majin (Demon) you have incredible strength and speed. Unfortuantly, you have the devil's sign (M) on your forehead, as well as blood red eyes and long fangs from the canine teeth. You are a berserking monster with no control over yourself. The only way you may change from it, if you are cleansed by the Super Holy Water or other items. But, as a Ma-jin, you may learn several new "chi" attacks if you trained as one. Such moves are the Masenko (Demon Beam) and the Makenkosauppo (Demon Screw Attack.)As well regeneration and claw-like hands. Zuk learned these moves during his short time as a Ma-jin.

Ewww....

Makankosauppo: A penatrating blast shot from two fingers. It is actually two blasts, one going straight ahead and the other coiling around the first for drilling power. This attack drills through everything it hits, and eventually blows up when it hits something big enough.

Masenko: It powers up a blast over your head with both of your hands, one palm behind the other, then you bring your hands down in front of you to fire the blast. Equal in power and a little faster to charge and fire then the Kamehameha. But slightly weaker in strength.

MehaKameha: A clone to the Kamehameha. Instead of cupping hands to charge, the user spreads them out and instead of cupping to fire vertically, it is done horizontally. Fires faster then it, but isn't as concentrated in Power. It is Richard's and Brian's Signature move.

Merging: See Fusion

One-pattern Attack: See Zanzoken

Renzoku Energy Dan: The user of this technique can shoot Ki bolts continuously from their hands, resulting in somewhat of a "machine-gun 'chi' blast" effect.

Ryo-Ken: A typical Uppercut in which the user rises into the air with fist up and shouts, "Ryo-ken." Then the arm is outlined in a golden image of a Chinese Dragon (Shenlong) This strikes the opponent and does heavy damage as a relativly slow attack. It seems like a "Dragon's Bite" as it appears. Philibuster has created this move, but Joe modified it and uses it to his Desperation Attack.

Shukiden Ido: An advanced for of the Zanzoken where the user may teleport his "chi" from one position to another instantly while using another person's "chi" to lock onto and anchor to. To ensure greater concentration faster, one may place his pointer and middle finger on his forehead, concentrate on a "chi" source then he/she will transport him/herself to that location.

Super Scholar Power up: After a Student that has proven themselves excellent in an academic, or sportmans-like activities, with also a high strength as well as a pure heart (All good or all bad.) Then with anger, jealousy, etc. One may change their appearence to a golden haired being with green eyes and incredible muscular body. But in Super Scholar 3, the fighter uses too much energy if used for too long. It weakens the body and should be used wisely.

Taio-ken: The user puts his hands in front of his face, shouts, "Taio-ken," and lights up very bright, so much that he blinds his opponent, for a short time to escape or reign opponents helpless.

Zanzoken: The user can move so fast he leaves an after-image of themselves. Then reappear either behind or a distance away from opponent. Used primarly as a defensive move, but sets up for other physical attacks. Also known as the one-pattern.

Weapons

Chainsaw: One minor weapon to Mike Gilday. A replacement part for his right hand, is the motor and blade of a chainsaw. An excellent close combat weapon and does a lot of damage. But it can be heavy and rather slow and clumsy. Gilday uses it when he knows he can score a hit, and definitly rip a guy to shreds!

C Sword: Although not named in the story. The C Sword is actually Calabro's main weapon. Nicknamed the "C-Sword" because it's a weapon only he weilds. It's amazing durability makes it a valuable weapon of honor and good to rely on, and also gives the user swordsmanship abilities.

Glow Frisbee: A most unique and somewhat, unusual weapon. It is a typical glowstick fixed in a circular pattern and thrown as a frisbee. It moves very fast and can slice most objects into two. Or at least cut them up pretty nicely. It is wielded by Shannon as her primary weapon.

Gun Blade: A large revolver type weapon as large and bulky as a small rifle. Attached to the end is a long thick blade used mostly for close combat and the gun is used for distance.

Kitana(s): Philibuster's and Richard's Main weapon. It is composed of regular swords handcrafted from meteroites that landed in modern day Japan. After a great blacksmith forged these twin blades, they possesed great power. They are unbreakable, and can also channel fear into weaker opponents hearts. This can silence the user, making him as agile and silent moving as a cat.

Lightsaber: Used by Stephanie as one of her default weapons. It is just as seen in the Star Wars Movies. It is a sword handle which emits a beam of energy more powerful then any blade in the universe. It can slice through almost any material, except other lightsaber blades. It is very light and effective for an intelligent fighter, who prefers elegenace, rather then brute strenght with big weapons.

Lightning Whip: A weapon of pure innocence and power. Wielded by Caitlin, she uses this mostly if ever put into a battle and cornered for escape. It is composed of a handle which emits a long [chain] of pure electric energy [not to be mixed up with "chi."] Does incredible damage if the bearer knows how to use it (snapping, really hurts.) Although, maybe sluggish, it also can shocks opponents and paralyze them.

Nyoibo Staff: Basically it is a wooden staff with magical properties. On command the staff may extend to the user's prefered length. Does a great amount of damage if used correctly. An expert staff user may be as deadly as any weapon out there.

Sawed-off Duel Barrelled Shotgun: Gilday's main weapon. Just a normal duel barrelled shotgun. Except, it has properties for unlimited ammo, also carries special shells, later used in the Richard Saga. But mainly gives the user strength and courage.

Scepter of Virtue: Another weapon to Stephanie's arsenal. This scepter was decorated beautifully as more of an artifact and less of a weapon. It's main powers are healing evil souls and trapping them away for eternity. It was used to cure Majin Zuk from his evil state to his good self.

Spork(s): Chicky's weapon that she wields through out her short adventure. It consists of a normal average everyday metal Spork (spoon with fork prongs.) It can extend up to ten feet (not as long as the Nyoibo Staff, but it can latch onto most surfaces and grapple up to them. Because of the sharpness of the prongs, it does a fair amount of damage if used correctly. Two also may be used for devastating combos.

Vibro Axe: Bastedo's weapon of choice. It is a long as a staff, with a blade at the end, similar to a large spearhead strapped to the side of the staff. When activated, the blade's edge glows and becomes as sharp and unique as a lightsaber blade. Mostly it gives the user, stealth and accuracy. But it is also fairly light and can deflect energy bolts if activated.

Whip: Basically just a leather whip. But does have some enhanced proerties. For instance, it has been graced with the power of a great warrior's essence (for strength.) It is also unbreakable. Can be used as a rope (grasp and swing across thing.)

Items

Bastedo Cookie: A unique item that enables any person whom is near death to slightly beat up to instantly heal as soon as this cookie is comsumed. It is basically equvialant to normal human healing for one month. The only problem is that is in limited qualities on the battlefield and only used when a quick energy regain is needed.

Junior Class Rings: The upgraded rings for fusion. They are stronger then the Potara Rings and were exclusivly made for Philibuster and Zuk. These magical rings still possess same attributes for the Potara ones, except certain enhancements are unlimited fusion time, duel control, and a slight boost in power higher then the Potara.

Karate Gi: A normal Karate suit, mostly seen as orange. It has a less deeper 'v' cut then the Namek-jin Gi and a weighted blue shirt underneath for extra speed if removed. It is heavier then most Gi's all together and usually has a blue or black belt of clothing tied to the front to hold their pants up (2-pieces.)

Mandalorian Armor: An advanced form of armor provides neck to toe in very strong and powerful Durasteel. This armor comes with simple arnaments such as sword/dagger sheaths, rocket darts, flamethrowers, grappling hooks, a jetpack, etc. Mostly an excellent technological armor. Joe the Strong uses a similar armor piece, except without the upgraded weapons on it. But he keeps the jetpack on it.

Namek-jin Cloak/Gi: A purple one piece Karate "Gi" (suit) that is sleeve-less and has a deep 'v' cut in the neck line, about half way down. Around the waist consists of a red or blue sash to perhaps store small items and such. It is very light compared to most suits, but also comes with a long and heavy cape. It has long shoulderpads and part of the cape wrapped around the user's neck. This allows protection of the neck and shoulders. But if the user removes the cape (and has trained with it on) then 1/3 of their speed is added afterward.

Medallion of Wishes: A Medallion native to Planet Arlia, with minor connections to the Earth's deceased languages (Latin). It grants the user one wish. But the same wish may not be asked for again. After the wish is granted, a Chinese Serpent Dragon (Shenlong) appears to grant it and the Medallion shatters into five pieces and spread all around the current world. Only after a month afterward, will they reanimate to their location and only an adventure may find and connect all five together for their wish. Although after it was taken from Arlia and the planet's destruction. It's powers were weakened, but, perhaps strengthened and no one has realized it, yet.

Potara Rings: Magical rings with god-like powers. When both rings are worn on the ring finger of opposite hands by two different users of similar height and power, they will combine into a powerful warrior with the combined feelings, attributes and physical features of the two. Although one person may stick out more and be the dominent figure.

Saiya-jin Armor: A legendary armored suit from an extinct race. This advanced armor is composed of a tight spandex jumpsuit underneath a soft material which is strong enough to defend the user against many attacks. It is a formal uniform for these "soldiers" as well so it comes with matching gloves and boots. As well as a variety of sizes and versions.

Scouter: A small device that is commonly used by enemies (Clones) as by means to give numerical values for the strength of the current fighter before them. It may also be used to locate a character's posistion by the power rating. Finally it may also be used as a communicater also.

Super Holy Water: A bottle of the finest fluid to the universe. A gulp of this fantastic water can greatly increase the user's strength several fold. It may also cure themselves of Majin corruption or fatal wounds. But if taken for a strength increase, your body becomes cramped up and immobile for several hours, before the effect.

Time Machine: An egg shaped transport used to exceed the speed of light and travel past the Space-Time Contiunum. The user may appear in a specific time and place with given coordinates to the navi computer. Although it has enough energy for two way travel before it needs a recharge, by solar energy units up to a year.

Places

Pomperaug High School: The main location of most of the Calabro Conversion. It is a High School from the small community of Middlebury/Southbury, Connecticut (yes it is a real place!) A typical brick building with two floors, one where the actual academic clases are (top) and where non-academic, Cafeteria, Library, etc are (bottom.) For more information of the feel of the building and how it is, visit, Pomperaug High Website!

Arlia: The home planet of the Zephlin people. It is has an Earth like atmosphere, but little vegetation, since there is no sun orbiting the area. Therefore it is always dark out. The internal components of the planet heat it, causing hte ground to be very warm, balancing the planet to be a constant tempreture of 75 degrees F. It has the enviorment of an asteroid, which is rocky and mountainous. The buildings of the people are metallic castles forged out of the ground it seems, and the population of the planet is just the Zephline people at about 100,000.

Afterlife: Basically you could only go there when you are dead. I am not getting into religious issues here. But it is composed of a Heaven (Perfect place in the clouds) and Hell (firey pit where bad people go.) There is a large castle after the pearly gates when you enter, which is the Court of Judgement. Normally you are judged to where you are to spend eternity in based on your merits of your life. But some are noted to train with great masters as they will be wished alive to defend Earth.

Kamisama Lookout: A massive Arabian style palace high above planet Earth. It acts as an observatory for Heaven dwellers that may look upon the Earth. Only those who are invited, and those of the dead may visit and see this beatful place. It is Kaio's main pad during the story, after Part II. He resides keeping an eye out for valuable information.

Room of Spirit and Time: High Above the planet Earth, in Kamisama's Lookout. In there a magic room, where if one was to train there one solid earth day, as they exit the room, their power will add on if they constantly trained at the pace for one year. But such variables are also taken into play, your hair grows, you mature a year as well.
