Special #2: The Caitlin Saga

Caitlin Anzalone walked into Biology class, not in one of her happy moods, in fact she was in the worst mood ever. Nothing seems to ever go right was all that was popping into her thoughts at the moment. Even though her birthday was in a few days, the worst was going on. As she entered Mr. Becker’s room after having a short, relieving chat with her boyfriend, Brian, her thoughts were interrupted with the familiar stench of the animals in the biology room. “Why does this place always have to smell so bad.” She whispered to herself. She walked over toward her desk and plopped her notebook on her desk. She sat down just as the bell rang and Mr. Becker walked into class ready for another day of wonderful notetaking.
Mr. Becker whipped out his papers for notes today and babbles onward on the evolution of who knows what. Caitlin turned to her left to see Joe Zukoski trying to look like he was working hard. As she glanced at his opened notebook, she couldn’t help but see a large stack of papers cluttered in his notebook flap with bold letters “Calabro Conversion Part II: The New Breed.” She turned over to Joe and asked, “Joe, is that another story?” He turned toward her and nodded, “It is the new series. Since alot of people like my first one, I decided to write more,” he said to her. “Can I read it?” she asked afterward. Joe nodded again and handed her a small packet of three pages and she began to read the story carefully.
As this was going on, most of the class was asleep or furiously taking notes. Then an unknown custodian walked into the classroom to Mr. Becker’s desk. They began to converse quietly, much to Joe’s interest, since he only heard a little bit of it. Caitlin on the other hand was reading the story somemore and didn’t see the custodian walk by her and past the Nile Monitor, the massive 6 foot lizard that circled around it’s cage several times in almost a hunger craze. The custodian stopped a second and reached into his pocket and pulled a small capsule, then he proceeded to drop it into the lizard’s food dish. Like any hungry reptile, he gobbled the capsule, then hissed lightly as the custodian exited the room in silence.
The lizard hissed again, louder! This got Caitlin’s attention from her reading and saw it stareing right into her eyes. “Ohh my god, I hate that creature so much, it is so creepy and ugghh....discusting. Why is it staring at me?” She thought to herself. Then the lizard then checked into the homeade cage with all its might. The wire began to give. Caitlin jumped out of her seat and ran toward the back of the room. Everyone else began to do the same. Mr. Becker, with no fear of course pulled out his steel gloves to try to fixe the cage. Then it broke. The lizard was free! It lept onto the floor of the room and twisted it’s head back and forth as it snapped it’s tail. Everyone instantously jumped onto the back counters in fear of this awesome creature. Mr. Becker approached cautiously, he was a little afraid, but he wanted to grab that lizard and contain it. He reached right in to pull it by the neck to limit it’s movement. But the creature was much to fast as it snapped it’s tail at Mr. Becker and tripped him onto the floor. The lizard pounced upon him and bit his uncovered hand. Blood gushed like fountain from his hand and wrist as the lizard began to lap it up.
After a few moments, Mr. Becker mananged to get free. But then he felt his pulse increase, he felt his body tighten up as his once human teeth became carniverious jaes full of sharp teeth. His blue eyes, vanished into a whirl of demonic red color. He snarled deeply at the students. Then from the door came in security guards from the school. But for some reason they looked similar, almost identical. The guards tossed small smoke bombs, which emitted a white gas around the students. Zuk covered his mouth and Caitlin as well and ducked toward the floor. All the other students were so panicked out they just inhaled all the fumed and passed out. After a few seconds, each students got up, with the exception of Zuk and Caitlin. As their fellow peers got up, they too, felt an unusual change occur as they became the demon like “drones” that Mr. Becker had changed to. Zuk grabbed Caitlin and tryed to get her and himself out of the room, they made it to the door. Then, a possessed Scott Hellriegal grabbed Zuk by the collar of his shirt and pulled him into the room. Caitlin could do nothing but run into the darkened hallways of the school, to find someplace to hide. As she turned her back, she saw a change in Zuk, he clanched his fists and his inner energies increased as he exploded into his Super Scholar form and tried to escape the wraith of his peers. He stretched out to knock everyone out of his way with a wall of “chi” surrounding him.Unfortunalty there was too many of them and got the best of him. Caitlin ran onward, down stairs, not turning back!
After scrambling down the hallways toward the Resource Center, she wanted out of this hellish school. This whole thing happened twice before and she doesn’t want it to happen again. The Resource Center was empty and dim lit, except for the ray of sunshine fromt he skylight above. All was quiet, not a sound was heard. Even as Caitlin remembered when she ran down the halls, that the rooms were empty, something was going on, and the clone menace was probably what started it. As she looked up toward the sky light, she saw a dark figure move. Caitlin got nervous and tried to get out of the figure’s sight. The figure lept and crashed through the glass. It got up to slighty give Caitlin an idea of what it was. It looked just like a firefighter clone, armed with a nasty whip that instead of the smooth rope was chained with lighting. Indeed it was quite an amazing waepon. Caitlin thought for a second and thought she could jump the fireman and take his weapon and figure a way out of there. She hid for a second and when the fighter turned his back for a second, Caitlin lept straight at him. The fireman senced the presence of someone and reached behind and grabbed Caitlin and help her up byt the wrist. “Foolish human, you dare attempt to harm me, I part of the supreme race that which will take over this planet. First with this school.” he said to her. Out of the dark a loud shout came over the opposite side of the resource center as I smaller figure dashed toward her and checked the fighter down on the ground. He got up a bit dazed as he and Caitlin turned to see the attacker. The figure was none other than Caitlin’s boyfriend, Brian. He stood straight and tall, feeling powerful from his daring rescue. He walked on over a bit closer to the fireman. He stuck out two fingers and lifted them up as the fireman levetated up a few feet off the ground. Then Brian moved his arm left to right a few times and deep scratches appeared along his armored face. Then Brian gripped his hand and the head of the fireman exploded into nothing. Caitlin was astonished by the strength displayed by her boyfriend and rushed toward him and hugged him.
He grinned at Caitlin and said to her, “The weirdest thing happened to me, after my class went wild and crazy. I finally figured out I have really cool pyschic powers.” Caitlin thought for a second, then she remembed, “I must then have my healing powers. Cool.” she said to Brian. She went over to the decapitated carcass of the fireman and grabbed his weapon from him, and armed herself.
Then another figure appeared over the darkened room. The figure ran toward them in a pant. They all turned their heads to see who it was. “Oh my god, you guys, what the hell just went on a few minutes ago.” was all the girl could say, but as she moved into the light, Brian said, “Kelly Ball, are you ok, you look very tired....Were you with Joe and had a little bit of boom...boom...shhhh!” he as well as Caitlin, giggled. Kelly placed her hands on her hips and looked angered by tat rude comment. “You guys, that isn’t funny, I am not in the mood, I nearly died back there.” she said, her voice a bit tensed. She turned toward Brian, “I don’t want to hear that crap about that anymore. I like Joe for what he is, not for all this about sex, so get a life.” She snapped at him. Brian backed off a little, but then he thought of an idea. Perhaps he may show her what his real power is. He raised his hands a little above his hand and in tune, Kelly floated on the hand’s command. She was getting a bit nervous. Caitlin interceded, “Brian, put her down, she is just having a bad day.” But Brian smiled devishly, he was having fun, he wanted Kelly to be begging for forgiveness. “Well, well, what do you have to say about that, Kelly?” Brian stated to her “I’d say, put her down, NOW...I am not in the mood.” a voice echoed across the darkness. Then appeared a golden haired being, a heavy set cape covered his back and reached down to his ankles. The purple one piece outfit he wore was simple and the red sash he wore as a belt was quite appealing for his outfit. Caitlin turned quickly to stare into the golden eyes of Super Scholar Zuk, in full costume. “Joe, your alive, I’d thought everyone got you.” she said. Joe shook his head, “It takes more than that to get a Super Scholar.” he replied. Brian raised an eyebrow, “What the hell is he?” Zuk faced Brian, “I am the strongest human ever in the universe. I am the ally to good, and nightmare to anyone who wished to challenge myself or any one of my friends. I am the Super Scholar.” he said to him.
Bryan shrugged his shoulders. “Whatever, you look cool though. But anyways I have to find a way to save everyone from these freaky demon things” He moved onward, holding Caitlin’s hand in love and comfort, she could only smile and walk with him. In the back, Joe and Kelly were behind them a little too, just as intimate as they were. As they passed through the halls, darkness was surrounding them, the school empty as can be. After wandering aimlessly for no specific reason, they all made their way down the stairwell and to the gymnasium of the school. Caitlin ran ahead a little bit to spy inside the doors. The lights were on and she could see mant figures standing inside. One looked familar and the others was some were obviously some guard and fireman army used to capture the school.
Then Joe and Kelly as well as Brian ran toward her to scope out the gym. But a simple touch on Caitlin’s shoulder made her turn quickly in tension. Then before them was an alien figure with metallic colors and smooth muscular body. Caitlin screamed a little from the figure as he reached to grab her. Joe turned and made an attempt to stop him. But he was too fast anbd grab Joe’s wrist with ease and threw him out in the middle of the hallway. Then he clenched his fists and sprang his arm toward Joe and opened his hand and our whirled a cold wind at Joe. All he could do was quickly flip up to his feet and try to block the heavy wind. WHAM...was all that wa heard as Joe quickly froze into a statue, leaving his face opened from cold. “Ohh boy, not cool...I mean not a hot idea.” he said chilled. Brian made a swing at him, but he kneed him into the stomach and pushed him off to the side. He was after Caitlin. Kelly felt a little panicked and ran toward the girl’s locker rooms. She knew their must be something their to help her. Brian got up quickly and tried to protect his woman from the demon’s attacks. He was holding back his powers so that he may not become tired later, wen he may really need them. He began to punch at him, left, right, left. into the stomach. He uppercutted him and the demon fell to the ground a little roughed up. Caitlin ran behind Joe to figure out a way to get him out as Kelly was looking for valuable things in her locker. “Can you get out of their?” she asked. “I thhhiiiiinnk I can..jjjust ggive mme a sec to...HEAT THINGS UP!!.” Caitlin stepped back few steps from his shout of his internal energies working at their hardest. “KAIO..KEN..” Joe shouted as his body heated in a large red “chi” flame and the iced body blew apart, leaving him as good as normal. Still in his kaioken status, he raced at incredible feat to nail that demon and kick his ass. He charged and rammed into his stomach while Brian ducked. After knocking him down, Joe flipped back and landed in front of him a little. The demon got up and charged at Joe. Joe did the same. He coiled his arm back a little as he rushed at the demon. One swift punch clotheslined him and nailed him to the ground again. His face was bloodied up a little as he whiped it up and got up. Brian got him from behind gave him a swift kick in his back right back at Joe. Joe then hopped in front of the demon facing away, coiled his leg up and hammered the demon when he got close enough. The demon flew across the floor, right at the end of the hallway. Then Kelly appeared holding a softball bat, “This is for freezing my guy.” and she swifltly swung the bat as it leveled the demon’s head right off his body. He disintergrated into nothing.
Having done that, the party reassembled at the locker room doors. Joe pulled his Namek-jin cape off and jumped to the ceiling of the hallway. “I am going above, see if you guys can figure a way through there.” he said “I want to go with you.” Kelly shouted back at him. Joe floated down and stared deeply into her eyes, “I can’t, I dont want to you get hurt anymore then you have too.” He hugged her deeply and gave her a kiss on her cheek. Kelly cried a little. Joe then lept up through the ceiling and crawled into the darkness above.
Brian motioned the girls to follow him onward. The doors opened and piled out six fireman. Two grabbed a person each and escorted them into the gym in the center. Surrounded by guards and fireman alike and the leadereship figure before them. The figure turned to view his capture. “Ohh my god...Mike Gilday...” Yes, it was indeed Mike Gilday before them. Dressed in his long trench coat and armed with a double barrelled shotgun, he was set to do anyone in. Mike spoke in reply, “I am not the real Mike, I was given the body of him, for I am a possessed Mike, a stronger and more powerful then ever.” Caitlin stared blankly at him, “Why are you after me?” Mike answered, “You know how great it will be to have the powers of a healer? I will be incredible strong and unstoppable. I took the form of Mike because I know you hate him so.” Caitlin grumbled a little. Kelly took her baseball bat out and pointed it at him, “Well, I am not going dow without a fight. Joe taught me to be brave and to not let you guys overrun us.” Mike stood before them in silence...then he spoke, “Kill the other two, take Caitlin and bring her to me.” The soldiers armed them selves and pointed their weapons at them.
Then, out of the darkness above a figure feel to the ground and landed in front of them. Kelly stared in disbelief, “Joe..it’s you, you can to rescue us.” Joe smiled a little bit. He knew what he came to accomplished. The soldiers moved on a little closer. Joe then charged his inner “chi” and in the usual gold flame. The guards moved back. Then in a loud rage, he blasted his “chi” in an explosion which disintergrated all the guards in the room. In doing so, he reached Super Scholar level 2. His hair pulled straight up, even longe then before. Lightning raced down along his entire body. Hie eyes became a deeper green and his muscles increases in size a little. In his painful transformation he screamed aloud. Brian stood before in yet again, disbelief. Kelly, awed by his heavenly glow, could only smile at his amazing power. Mike was in many ways not impressed with his power upgrade. “Soo, Mike is this your doing. I know, you are the clone...Figures as much. Well I am here to get you for what you did.” Joe said to him. Mike only laughed and replied, “If you think your little Super Schoalr level 2 thing will hurt me your wrong, you need to be stronger to beat me.” Joe stood panicked a little bit, “Well, then their is one way to beat you. I will fuse to become the strongest fighter ever with these Potara Rings.” he whispered to himself, “But who, Joe is not around her now the only one I can safely fuse with is....ohh noo, Brian....grrr... I really don’t want to have to do that.” He turned toward Brian who was kicking other clone ass with powers. WHAM, went a clone into a wall. Then Joe looked at Caitlin and grumbled, “OK, fine. I’ll do it to save the school..again!” Joe motioned to Brian to come over here. After finishing his last victem, he walked over toward Joe. In the back was Kelly, who was in the middle of bashing some more fireman with her baseball bat. She was indeed a strong warrior. Joe gave Brian a ring. “OK, put this on, we’ll join together to go and save your girlfriend.” Brian shrugged his shoulders and he placed a ring on his ring finger as well as Joe did too.
Then a poof of energy grasped the two together as the were pulled into each other. The clash of energies created a new fighter. He stood tall and proud as the smoke cleared away. Mike stepped back, “What the hell?” Them the new warrior spoke, “We are Broe, another ultimate fighter to defend Earth.” Mike threw Caitlin to a fireman and he pulled off his trench coat to reviel a black tanktop. “You wanna go?” Broe dashed at Mike, his fists out, ready to punch him. Mike grabbed him and they were locked in combat. Left, right, left, both fighters were fighting at incredible speeds. Kelly at this moment ran toward Caitlin and bashed the fireman with her bat. But that didn’t take the firman out. Caitlin grabbed her whip from her belt loop, unraveled it, and cracked it on the floor once. Then she wrapped it around the fireman and generated enough electricity from the swing the shock the fireman. Then she unwrapped it and struck the fireman again and cut the arm off, very nicely and clean. The clone fell back and passed out into a death.
Meanwhile as that was occuring, the deadly combat commenced. Broe lept into the air and spun around to kick Mike in the head, but he slid underneath him easily. Mike got up and rammed into him, Broe fell backwards but flipped back to his feet before he hit the floor. Then dashed into Mike again, this time he tilted his body around and performed a spinning kick to his neck. Mike was hit, hard. He became dazed and out of it. Then Broe landed quickly and socked him in the stomach. Mike fell backward and into the ground. Broe finally realized that he is near defeat and must finish the job. He took off a ring and he split back into Joe and Brian. Joe hovered into the air as Brian ran off to Caitlin and Kelly, as Joe transformed into his Super Scholar stage 2. He raised his arms high and plams up. He summmoned all the strength within him, as wel as from everything around him. All the energy was contributing to a massive bal of energy. But Mike got up and wasn’t going to let Joe throw the ball. Brian senced this and dashed over and gripped Mike with all his strength. The two began to wrestle for a little bit until Joe annouced that the bal was complete. Brian hopped off him and covered the two girls. Joe with all his might threw the ball right at Mike as he shouted, “Genki-Dama, fire!” The ball moved quickly and hit Mike and blew up all around him.
When the smoke all that was left was a fatigued body of Mike. He was barely alive and was going fast. But he had a chance to get up and leave. Joe fell to the floor in fatigue and panted heavily. Kelly rushed over to comfort him. Caitlin walked over to Joe and stretched out her hands and began the healing procoss to Joe. Afterward she did the same to her boyfriend. Mike got up, very slowly and tried to escape. But Caitlin grabbed her whip and snared Mike around the neck. “You are going to pay for ruining my birthday.” Joe interjected, “Is he a clone, or a possessed demon we can cleanse to the real Mike.” Caitlin thought deeply, she hated Mike with a passion and the best thing she wanted on her birthday was him out of the way. “He is a clone.” she yelled out as she jolted the clone with her lightning whip until he exploded into nothing.
All was quiet. Caitlin had did what she wanted to do, so she took Brian by the hand and the two walked out, hand in hand. Kelly picked Joe up and helped him walk out of the locker section. In only a few days do things return to normal for the party. Caitlin’s party was a blast and everyone enjoyed it as well as the semi-formal in peace. Caitlin was happy for herself that she has the guy she likes, the destruction of her hated enemy, Mike. But not only that, but because of this adventure, Brian and Kelly became better friends, that they need to depend on each other, like they did when fighting off the evil Mike.
