For about two years I have been seriously out of the loop on one of the best computer games in history. I am speaking of course about Rainbow Six. Based on the Tom Clancy novel (Which I have Read) this game follows the exploits of a multinational anti-terrorist task force called Rainbow. If you are like me you'll start off a game, be confused out of your mind, get killed, then go to the practice arena. This is natural for this game, don't worry. This is the most involved game I have ever seen, while still being an action game, not even getting close to an awful RPG type of game.
Graphics
The graphics in this game were phenominal. They looked just like the PC version. (I saw a friend of mine running the game on his computer recently and it actually ran slower than the Dreamcast version)
Sound
I like to listen to my games through my stereo reciever, and this game is awesome. The grass rustling under foot, the birds in the distance, the silenced explosion of my H&K going off, and the thud of the 9mm ball tearing through flesh.
Overall
Red Storm's port took long enough to get here. The Windows CE operating system was supposed to make ports easier, but who cares. I had this game reserved since September, and I could have used the money, but it was worth the wait. Leading the team into battle has never been more fun and involved. You get to pick your authintic weapons, what kind of gear you'll need, and the fatigues you will wear. Plot out your path right and the game is fun and fluid. If you mess up the plan, everyone dies, and it only takes one shot.
