Crazy Taxi
Players: 1
Genre: Racing
Developer: Sega AM3
Publisher: Sega
I guess there's only one way you can describe Crazy Taxi. Crazy! Not
really original the way I put the crazy, but it works right? You play
as one of four characters, picking up customers and trying to get them
to their destinations as fast as you can. Of course, your easy path
will be thwarted as you battle traffic, parked vehicles, subway cars,
trains, and people bitching of how you almost killed them. This is one
hell of a unique game, and the gameplay speaks for itself with easy to
learn controls, and fast paced action.
Heavy Metal
Probably the coolest thing about Crazy Taxi is its music. From the
intro to the gaming levels, the music really gets you into the game.
With the alternative hits of the Offspring, this game is a regular
music CD by itself.
Graphics
Take a couple of screenshot glances and you'll realize that the
graphics on the game are no laughing matter. With realistic looking
streets, real-life places, bright colors, and voice-overs, Crazy Taxi
truly uses the powerful potential of the Dreamcast.
Overall
Crazy Taxi is one of those games where you'll either love it or
hate it. Fans of Felony 11-79 for the Playstation should definitely
give Crazy Taxi a look. Those of you who don't know what Felony is,
well, get off your ass anyway and give Crazy Taxi a ride.
