- Don't let the picutre mislead you. This watch is actually really huge. The only pictures that I could see of this watch before I bought it was from the Casio website so I didn't know how huge it really was. Even though its size is big, the GPS watch isn't really that heavy fortunately. There are three things that I think would have made this watch even better. A digital compass would have been very useful and could have been a great addition to the watch since the GPS watch will only act as a compass when it is travelling at speeds faster than 8 kph. Also, an altimeter and a stopwatch function would have been useful too. I think the next watch that I get is going to have to have these missing three functions. When this watch first came out, the price of it was $600 US. Now you can purchase it in stores for about $400 US to $500 US. If you want to get it for even cheaper, you can bid for it on auction sites like eBay ($350 US) but then they don't come with any warranty. Getting readings on this watch is impossible in buildings and I can only get readings inside my house once in a while. As a result, this watch should be mainly used outdoors. Inside my car, even with the sunroof closed, my GPS watch can tell the direction and distance to a certain destination. It also tells me the current speed of the car (updated every second) and it is very accurate! For example, I have the location of my home saved into my watch as a landmark. Wherever I am in the city with my car (or even in the world), my watch can tell me how far I am from home and in what direction it is. In order to get these readings however, the watch needs to be face up and the car has to moving faster than 8 kph.
