The father of Ramza, Zalbag and Dycedarg. In his day, Balbanes was a strong soldier. He had three strong sons and a beautiful daughter, but he was allegedly betrayed by one of them. Zalbag never got a confession out of Dycedarg, but all evidence pointed towards Dycedarg as being the one who poisoned his own father. He died of complications from MossFungus poisoning, as his family looked on.
