Well, we hope this finds everybody well. We had a good Christmas. Not too many presents, but the kids realize the one's they did recive were BIG. Brooke got her IPOD. She loves it. This has given us an easy gift idea for her. You can purchase and I-TUNES Gift Card.....and it allows her to download music from the Internet. No need for credit card purchases. You get the card, she redeems it online and she can download music for .99 cents a song. I didn't know anything about this stuff until I had to set her IPOD up. Boy have they got a racket out there to make money. WHen we bought it they gave us a coupon worth 100 free songs. But once we got online...it required a credit card number....and get this....ALL the FREE SONGS.....was off the wall stuf that no one has ever heard of!! But The I-Tunes Gift Card was good. Fairly easy to redeem and no need to provide more info than you want.
Blake got his Christmas wish answered in the form of a BASS GUITAR Kit. It came with an amp, headphones, strap, etc. He'll start lessons Friday. He has a friend named Jackson who's been playing the electric guitar. Oy vay...yes there is talk of starting a band. I'm gonna have to clean out the basement and put up some sound proof insulation!!! Jennifer and I were a bit more practical. INstead of buying gifts for each other, we bought something for the house. We replaced outr dilapidated breakfast dinette. It had two ODD chairs and a bench. We went to ROOMS To Go OUTLET and found a short level bistro dinette set. We love it. It really cool. You sit up on it. It's great for playing cards and EATING too. We had the Hise Family come over for Christmas dinner. They have two girls, one Brooke's age and one Blake's age. Brian is home on leave from Kuwait. He's the fella I told you I took fishing in the fall. We all hope he comes home safely next year. Well that's it for this update. I hope you are all well...and hope we all have a great 2006!
