Digital Art & Design is a course designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to create and alter images using vector and pixel-based software applications. Students will create original illustrations utilizing the basic principles of design. They will create, retouch and manipulate digital images using Photoshop |
Here students are showing an appreciation for the artistry and creative
nature of digital and graphic imaging. They will maintain a digital portfolio
of class work including projects demonstrating mastery of skills learned
in class. In this class students are; • Applying the principles and elements of design • Capturing, create and manipulate images • Creating simple graphic effects and designs in an original work. • Correcting, improving, color and change any photographic image • Importing graphics, coping images from other programs and other computers to complete a project • Using peripherals such as scanners, CD-ROM, printers, external storage and networks to support various project and computer operations • Creating a variety of special effects images • Creating vector-based images in a vector based (drawing) program and importing into a pixel based program for further modification • Preparing graphics for presentations, and for print |
