406. Karl Paul Wilhelm Schiewer
Mazeikiai, Lithuania was the location of a Jewish shtetl before World War II. All the Jews of the town were massacred by Lithuanian "activists" in August,1941 (The Holokaust of Mazeikiai). The German NAZI army had entered Mazeikiai the day before the "activists", who were the NAZIs' collaborators, rounded up the Jews.The Germans retreated from Mazeikiai in 1944, so Karl may have been a prisoner of the Soviets.
