Update for Tuesday, February 6th, 2001
Back from Canada. It was a life-altering experience, I must say. It was fun too, but I'll never be the same. Ahh... It was a nice break from the site, but it wasn't long. Got back yesterday to discover that THE HISTORY has been named EB Vortex Site of the Month. Pretty nice accomplishment for a site that's been up for less than a month. I hope you all liked the timeline. This week: I posted a pic of my EB envelope art in the Archive. I may add some more later this week, but I'm still recovering from my northern experiences. Put simply, I'm exhausted. Peace out...

I think I'll be too busy to post the first draft of the Timeline, so I decided to do it today. I'm taking a trip out of town, so I may not update for at least a week. Go to the timeline here, and please feel free to point out anything I got wrong or left out that you think is important. If you're thinking "Hey, why isn't this on the timeline?!?!" then it's probably because I don't have a date for it. Send me the info and I'll be glad to add it though... It says "PAGE 1 of 2" and "PAGE 2 of 2", but there is only one. I thought it would be pointless to create another page just for part of the Timeline. Enjoy!

I just beat Chrono Cross, but I got the bad ending, so I'll have to go back and play the final battle again. But now I feel like playing Chrono Trigger again. Maybe I should wait for the US re-release this fall... I decided to add an old EarthBound Gang Newsletter to the archive just because I was bored. Go check it out.
From Saturday:
I added some early Moonside Newsletters to the ARCHIVE, and I also added th history of the Titanic Ants, another early EB club. Thanks to the leader Strykar9 (NessJeff11) for the info on his former club. I think I'll take a break from major updates for a while. The PEOPLE section should be up soon though... Have patience, and do help with the TIMELINE.

Update for Tuesday, January 23rd
It's kinda sad that we just launched and I'm already updating... I added an entry from Matingly22 in the ESSAYS section, a Mr. Saturn Nation Newsletter in the ARCHIVE, and a couple of new links to the LINKS page. I'm hoping we'll have the PEOPLE section up soon, so bear with me.
Past Updates
OK, I had this really cool intro to the site posted here, and you can still read it below, but I received an e-mail telling me that the EarthBound Gang, the largest EB club in the history of EB clubs had just ended, and everything changed. The bottom line is this: The era of EB Clubs is officially over. No matter how many clubs you try to form or revive, it's over. The day before the site launched too. I am now even more happy than ever that I decided to make this site, but depressed at the same time. With that, I leave you this site, have a nice day...

Hello all, and welcome to The History, the complete documentation of that wonderful time when Online EarthBound Clubs were everywhere. We are finally up and running on the twentieth of January, and I hope you are all as impressed as you thought you would be. I'm really sorry about the delay, but because we couldn't compile enough material for (what I thought should be) a sufficient website, I decide to give it a little more time. Do not forget that this is a work in progress and we will continue to update it as the information arrives. Please visit the Introduction for my complete introduction and thank you's to everyone who assisted us in this wonderful project. If we left out anything, please e-mail us and let us know.
Don't expect updates too often. I'm thinking something along the lines of a major update every month. Right now, I'm going to try and complete the Clubs list, as I see it, the People list will always be updated as many more people make contributions to the community. If you have any ideas of what we should add to the site, please do not be afraid to let us know! I cannot stress that enough, and I hope you'll continue to visit us as the site continues to grow.
