Well, I have seen many shrines to different Samurai Shodown characters, but I haven't really seen one about Asura. So I decided to make one because I think he's pretty sexy. . .it's that dark and mysterious thing. 
Who is Asura: Well, I first must say that Samurai Shodown has managed to come out with about six or seven different games (in order): SS, SS2, SS3, SS4, SS RPG, SS64 (meaning SS in 64 bit), SS64 2, and SS Warriors rage.
I have friends who have heard of Samurai Shodown back in the mid 90's when the game was pretty popular in America. SS is owned by a company called SNK (which I heard recently shut down its American and European Branch, so their games will not be sold in the US. My guess that it's because their "Neo Geo Pocket Color" could not compete w/ Game Boy Color). After SS4, SNK struggled to keep up with the video game hype--trying to compete with cheap, Street Fighter rip-offs like Tekken and SS rip-offs like Soul Caliber (I like Soul Caliber anyway). So they made this system called "Hyper Neo Geo 64" which completely bombed, apparently--well, in US it did.
Very, very few Americans know about SS64 or the games beyond. But it was in these 3d games that Asura became a character.
I have a very vague notion about his significance in SS the game, but all I know was that he was involved with some evil woman named Shiki who was an evil puppet of some guy (I think Yuga is his name). Yet it was "Hamnen no Asura", his "evil" form (in SS characters have both a good and evil side) not Asura who was involved with Shiki (so confusing. They have the same name, yet so different). At least, I am not really sure which one it was. . .correct me if I am wrong. . .

Here's the characters from SS from this Neo Geo Pocket thing that vanished from the US market=(. Thats a shame, since I would have bought one of those things! It had all my fav characters!!!! Except Hanzo! Well, they should take that annoying little bitch Rimururu out and put Hanzo back in!!
Why I like him: I like "dark" guys, meaning tall (not TOO tall), dark, and handsome. Actually, Asura is only about 5"9" or 5'10", which is nicer for someone of my *very* short stature. Perhaps we would make a great couple. . .but there is only one problem: HE'S A FRIKKIN VIDEO GAME CHARACTER!! See, I have NO life since most decent guys out there are gay or taken.
I first saw a picture of Asura on an SS Website, and I thought, "Damn, this guy is so cool-looking!" He seems sort of evil at first--definitely a unique character. I really liked the shape of his legs, nice and shapely. . .And his outfit is SO COOL. I like the leather and chains thing, like he just stepped out of a metal video. And his hair is cool too.
I think that even behind his dark and shadowy appearance he's a nice guy who's very deep (corny as it sounds).
