The Heavy Weapons Guy Guide

Class Type: Very Slow, Very Heavily Armored

Weapons: Single Barrel Shotgun, Double Barrel Shotgun, Assault Cannon and crowbar

Grenades: 4 hand grenades, 2 MIRV grenades

Abilities: Doesn't get push about with explosions much because he's a big momma



Defense


  A Heavy Weapons Guy (hwg) is many useful in defense. You are the slowest unit in the game so don't expect to be capturing the flag. Your assault cannon takes a second or 2 to wind up so work in open places where the enemy wouldn't expect you, like in the waterway on the map well. Like the Demoman work at a main entrance where you know the enemy is going to pass through. The assault cannon is very powerful at close range but at long range it isn't worth wasting your bullets. If you see a enemy scout or medic or anyone who looks as though they are going for the flag go for them first and if you see an enemy unit with the flag then it's your job to mow them down. Finally try to work with a medic or help an engineer to build there Sg while your waiting for your next frag. Do this by going to the resupply room getting as ammo and dropping it next to the engineers sg so the engineer doesn't have to rush back and forth.

Attack


  A hw is not to useful in attack but can still help. Often if you don't actually go for the flag but patrol around the enemy base picking off enemy's as you walk round and taking out units which would be a threat to your teams attackers can be a good tactic although hwg's are a lot better in defense.
