The following information is a crime prevention guide. This guide has been designed to assist merchants to prevent credit card fraud.
When conducting transactions involving credit cards, always do the following to prevent fraud:
BE ALERT FOR THE CUSTOMER WHO ACTS UNUSUAL |
WHEN YOU CHECK THE SIGNATURE |
 in a
hurry/nervous
makes purchases without regard to size,quality or price
arrives on closing time
has no identification
wants immediate access to goods
asks for transactions to be manually entered |
is the card
signed?
has the signature panel been altered?
does the customer's signature match the card? |
