How did I become the children's church teacher?
One day I was praying and it was placed on my heart that I should do children's church. I was really uncertain about asking our pastor if I could do children's church, but I got the courage up one day to ask and he said yes.
How did I find the name "CLICK" ministry?
As I was surfing the internet, searching for children's church ideas, I found a site that named a few children's ministries. "CLICK" was one of the names. As stated on the Children's Ministries web page, it means "Christ Living In Christian Kids". When I announced the name to the congregation, they were very pleased. The children really like it!
What is my background?
I teach Early Childhood Education (2nd grade). I have another degree in Middle Grades Education. I have taught 6th grade and 3rd grade. I have been at the same school for 4 years. I have some background in kindergarten, Pre-kindergarten, and 8th grade.
Inspiration
I have the advantage of having a professional background in teaching children, but you do not have to have a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate's degree to spread the Word of God. I felt called of God to do this job. I am lucky that I was able to listen to God and do the job He has planned for me. It took me a long time to get up the courage to ask if I could have the job, but I have a lifetime of blessings in store because I listened to God.
