Once upon a time... there was a man. A man who was known by many people as an honest, dependable person. Someone you could count on for anything. He had a wife and a son, which he loved with all his heart. For his wife he would do anything. He would do things that most men would not do, just to see his wife smile. Seeing his wife smile would make any bad day go great. For his son he would lay down his life and die to keep him safe. His son made his life complete. When he made his little boy laugh, it was like beautiful music to his ears. He was a God fearing man, who took over the job God has given him. He was the head of the household. He raised his family by the word of God. As time went on, his son prepared to graduate. The day came. The man was sitting at the school, eager to hear his sons name called out. He was so proud of his son. As he was watching, memories from the past started running through his mind. The time of his sons birth, when he his little boy rode his first bike, the times he would stay up all night to help is son with his math homework, when he gave his son his first car, and when his son told him that he would be the valedictorian of his class. Now the time has come for his son’s speech. He looked over at a complete stranger and said “that is my boy”. His son started his speech, tears were pouring of his eyes. His son was thanking people “I would like to thank first, Jesus Christ who is the leader of my life, my school, my teachers, and all of my friends. I would like to give a very special thanks to someone who has been there all my life. Someone who never le me down, my mom. My dad was never really around me as I was growing up, but my mom did everything to provide my needs and make me happy, even if it meant she would be without." His dad heard this and his heart broke into a million pieces. What if you’re the father of this young man, how would you feel? If this were your father would you have done what the other boy did? Replace the young man with yourself and the father with Jesus Christ…………Do you acknowledge him and the things he has done for you? You might be wondering what Jesus has done for you. Well.... Jesus put breath in your lungs. He allowed you to wake up from your sleep this morning. He blessed you with the clothes you are wearing, and the food you eat everyday. The every day things that you take for granted, He blessed you with. How long has it been since you praised God for giving you eyes to see with, ears to hear with, a mouth to speak with? There are so many things that we take for granted. What about the obvious, that might not be so obvious to you? A man being ripped apart, flesh hanging off his body. A man that was torn up so bad that his inner organs were showing. A man with a crown of thorns digging deep into his head. Blood gushing from this man's body. He could have stopped everything. He loved you too much to stop! After all this pain, to top it all off, he is placed on a cross. Roman soldiers putting nine-inch spikes through each hand and both his feet. All of this was for you. The cross He was nailed to was lifted up and dropped into the ground. His mangled body hanging from the nails. The last words he said with the little breath he had was “FATHER FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING”. Jesus laid down his life and died for you, so that ALL of your sins can be forgiven………The things like LUST, DRUGS, SLANDER, GOSSIP, MURDER, LYING, STEALING, PRE-MARITAL SEX, WORLDLY MUSIC, EXC. Just like the young man giving the speech, not acknowledging his father. Your life is a speech. Every thing you do, every word that comes out of your mouth, tells who you really are. IS JESUS A PART OF YOUR SPEECH? We ask you this because we love you and it is our job, as children of God, so you can have the chance to live an eternal life with the Lord Jesus Christ. If Jesus is not a part of your life, you can change that right this minute by asking Him into your heart. It is not our prayer that will get you into heaven. It is your heart. If you say this prayer have it come from your heart. Have a true desire for Christ to live in you. Lets pray and again have it come from your heart. DEAR GOD, I COME BEFORE YOU REALIZING THAT YOU ARE MY LORD AND SAVIOR.YOU DIED SO THAT ALL MY SINS WILL BE FORGIVEN, AND SO THAT I CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. JESUS I ASK FOR YOR FORGIVNESS BECAUSE I KNOW I HAVE SINNED, AND YOUR BLOOD WAS MY ATONEMENT. I RECIEVE SALVATION FROM YOU, AND I ASK THAT YOU PURIFY MY BODY, MY MIND, AND MY LIFE. I WILL LIVE FOR YOU ALL MY DAYS. I PRAY FOR YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LEADERSHIP IN MY LIFE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SPRIT. THANK YOU FOR LIVING FOR ME, AND THANK YOU FOR DYING FOR ME. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SALVATION. AMEN! If you just prayed that prayer, tell someone. Tell a parent, tell a friend, tell someone that you know is a Christian. Ask them to help you out and pray that you will stick by your decision. Find a church and be faithful to it. Get into the word of God and study it. Live your life by it. Be the most awesome, spirit-filled, Child of God that you can be. Thank Him for what He has given you. Every day. Thank Him.
