It's Not Easy Being Green - The Answers
by Andy Moseley - reprinted with permission from the March 2000 Mariners' Log

$100 - B: You'll get pinched. Don't you remember that from the old days?

$200 - C: You are a rookie.

$300 - D: Rams. They are in St. Louis. The Packers are that NFL team with the cheese hats, the Gamblers play hockey in the USHL, and the Bombers are an IFL (indoor football: team.

$500 - A: With iced tea. However, Sam definitely will not eat it in the rain, on a train, in a box, with a fox, in a house, with a mouse, here or there, or anywhere.

$1,000 - B: "Let's Get it On." That's a Marvin Gaye song. Didn't you see Behind the Music?

$2,000 - B: Most consecutive games played. In his Cal Ripken-esque streak, Green played in 907 straight games to break the record.

$4,000 - C: Driving a semi through a car wash. Knowing Tom Green, he will, though, now that I’ve put the thought into his head..

$8,000 - D: Greentown. Yes, Greenacres is an actual city in Florida. I hear it's the place to be.

$16,000 - C: Peter Fonda. As a side note, Jane doesn't appear, either.

$32,000 - D: Greenhorn. Green Eggs and Hamlet was an independent film that combined-as impossible as it may seem-Hamlet and Green Eggs and Ham.

$64,000 - D: Molly Shannon. Seth is in the TV version of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer with Sarah Michelle Gellar, and he costarred in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me with Mike Myers and Verne “Mini-Me” Troyer.

$125,000 - A: Hector Hammond.

$250,000 - A: Toronto Blue Jays. Please tell me you didn't pick “D.”

$500,000 - D: Marvin the Martian. Not only does Marvin have a green helmet, but his dog does, too!

$1,000,000 - B: Froot Loops. There are little green loops. Apologies to Magic 105.9's Dade Brantley, since I ripped off this "Guess What's in My Mouth?” idea from his morning-thing show.

OK, so you didn't win any money. You did get them all right, right? Let me know how you did at andy1278@hotmail.com or at our website, http://www.geocities.com/marinerslog/. Now, go grab a bowl and pour you some of that stuff with the partially hydrated vegetable oil, cook up some green eggs and ham to go with it, and read the rest of the Log.
