I try to figure out my entire net worth.
I add my money and possessions galore
And then I think I'm worth much more.
Man, I've got to be worth way more than this
Because I've been penniless before and had so much bliss.
Then suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks
I can't believe I didn't include all this.
The one thing that just couldn't be seen
Well, not on paper if you know what I mean.
I've been down in the dumps and picked right back up
And it wasn't a dollar that was my big fixer-up.
It wasn't the stereo, the video games, or even the TV
It was a multitude that's always there for me.
This marvelous invaluble thing of which I speak
Is there in your life every day of the week.
It's something that will be true and there to the ends
It's your most prized possession, they're called Friends.
So in my parting, which I hope to be long due from now
I kindly remove my hat, and to all friends I do bow.
May I bless your life with laughter and smiles of glee
I just pray that I can give you each as much as you give me.
I once never understood how tis better to give than receive
But it's so obvious now, when i give laughter I also receive.
So in this little sharing of my mind
I'd like to say that you've all been too kind.
With the smiles of laughter to you I have given out
My net worth is invaluble, something I'll never figure out.
