He is known as the legendary super-saiyan because of his incredible powers. When Goku was still in super-saiyan level 1, Broly was about to enter 2. He was incredibly strong. He beat all four saiyans(Goku, vegetta, Gohan, Trunks)and piccolo. But he had a flaw, he fought with only fireballs. But this flaw did not cost him anything, because his power was well above any saiyan's. He hates Goku because according to him, Goku cried all day when he was beside him in the hospital (i think). From birth his powers were incredible and so king vegeta seeing the extremity of his powers was scared he might one day overthrow him from the throne or overthrow his family from the throne, His father named Paragus, was a weak man so the King decided to kill them, Before then Freeza attacked to destroy the planet but the extra-ordinary power of the boy saved him and his father by creating something like a strong force-field around them . When Goku steps into a trap with Vegeta and goes to new-Vegetta(the new planet for the saiyans), Broly planned to kill him but Goku followed. He could kill Vegeta for the throne and kill Goku for revenge, but Goku managed to defeat in a incredible battle by collecting all the powers of the saiyans and warriors present and using it up in a punch that went right through him. He was saved in a ship when his planet blew up and ended up on earth again. After sometime, he recovered and faced Gohan, Trunks, Goten, Videl and Krillin but Gohan was the only person capable of facing him at that time he was eventually killed by a triple Kame-hame-ha done by Gohan , Goku, and Goten.
