Life on the Road with Christian
of the WWF

The interview was conducted by Randy Sheehan.

HTW: How long do you actually spend on the road?

Christian: Usually for the most part about 20 days a month, maybe more. We spend a good period of time on the road.

HTW: What's the longest amount of days that you get to spend at home?

Christian: You know sometimes we get 4 of 5 days, but sometimes even when we are home we have appearances we have to do at home, or interviews or something like that, so actually we may not get a chance to relax at all. When we get home we have to take care of bills, other things you have to take care of when you get home, so you're actually running around the whole time you’re there, so you don't really even get a chance to relax sometimes. There's some times that you get a good 3 or 4 days, sometimes you’re home for a day and gone again the next. It just really depends on the schedule.

HTW: So is there anything that you bring on the road with you that makes your life easier?

Christian: Yeah, I have a cell phone so if my parents or my girlfriend need to get a hold of me they can get a hold of me on that. Actually I've been looking into getting a laptop computer to take with me, to use on the road and stuff like that. For the most part I bring my CD player for long flights and stuff like that. It kills the time on the flight and helps you relax. Basically that's all I take with me other than my clothes, and I have a separate bag for protein shakes and protein bars because some times you're in such a hurry that you don't get a chance to sit down and have a meal, so you have to have one of those to tide you over until you get a chance to eat.

HTW: Have you ever thought about getting a portable DVD player to take with you?

Christian: Yeah, I know a few of the guys have the DVD systems and they really enjoy it. That's something that I'll probably look into in the future, I've just been too busy to go out and have a chance to look at one. I know a few of the guys do have them and they really like them, they like to watch them on flights.

HTW: Do you know which guys have the portable DVD off hand?

Christian: I think D'Lo Brown has one, Road Dogg might have one, I think Midian has one, and I think Undertaker has one as well. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

HTW: Are you in the upcoming WWF Attitude Video Game?

Christian: Yeah, it was a great experience. We went right down to the Acclaim head office, we did that whole thing there and it was just an amazing experience. It was kinda mind blowing when you really think about it, to be in a video game is really exciting. I'm really looking forward to seeing it. It's supposed to be coming out before June or something. It should be really cool.

HTW: How much input did the wrestlers actually contribute to the game itself?

Christian: Actually quite a bit, they studied all of our tapes of our favorite moves. They asked us what moves we would like to have in there, they say " hey, these are the moves we're going to put in the game. Is that cool with you?" you look them over and say "yeah I like that one" or "you know maybe you should use this one instead of this one." They were really good to us and I can't say enough about them, they really took care of us. We had to do voice overs for the video game and they asked us what kind of lines we wanted to use or they worked up lines and asked us what we thought of them. We really did get to have some good input on it, it was really cool.

HTW: Well thanks for your time, it was nice meeting you.

Christian: You're welcome, it was nice to meet you too.
