| During The Georgia High School Association meeting in | ||||
| October the brackets had a change | ||||
| made to them which now reads as this.In the First | ||||
| Round,Second Round,Quarter-Finals,and | ||||
| Finals,the higher seed will host unless the competing | ||||
| teams are tied.In that case the (H) printed | ||||
| in the playoff brackets will be the host school.So | ||||
| for example if Appling Co. wins and Franklin Co. | ||||
| wins,the game will be at Appling.If Appling and | ||||
| Carrollton wins,the game will be in Carrollton.If | ||||
| Washington Co. wins they host no matter who wins the | ||||
| Carrollton and Franklin game.This move | ||||
| was made because the GHSA felt that the higher seed | ||||
| deserved to host because they earned | ||||
| that right.I hope this clears up the debate which is | ||||
| on this board now. | ||||
| Playoffs - First Round: November 17 or 18 | ||||
| Playoffs - Second Round: November 24 or 25 | ||||
| Playoffs - Quarter Finals: December 1 or 2 | ||||
| Playoffs - Semi-Finals: December 8 and 9 - Georgia Dome - South team hosts on Friday, North team hosts on Saturday. | ||||
