Many people take for granted
Good health, sound mind, hearing, and sight.
Not all people on the planet
Have what most consider right.

They may try with all their might
But will never do what the rest of us can.
Are people in this dire plight
Not included in the overall plan?

Just an extra second of life really can
Change the overall state of the world.
Rarely will one not be a fan
Of those who stand up to whatever is unfurled.

Problems may come in massive amounts
Yet the handicapped prove it is the effort that counts.
