Thoughtless words and careless action
Can lead others towards despair.
Far from harmless minor distractions,
Their words can actually impair.
People laughed at the Wright brothers
When they dared to attempt flight.
Lesser inventors such a person smothers
Until they run from the mere sight.
Mockers are not portrayed kindly in history.
So should these things continue?
Daring to solve a complex mystery
Should put one on the mockers' menu.
Early attempts to get people to fly
Were humorous and tragic,
Yet many people were still willing to try
Knowing it would not be done by magic.
Intelligent people thought some things impossible
Before another proved it could indeed be done.
All things should be possible.
Failure is not something done for fun.
Truly wise people are aware
Some of the things they say will be proven wrong.
Efforts no one can compare
Proves to the human race all people belong.
Kind words and caring action
Coming from deep inside the heart,
Gives another a lasting satisfaction.
Death itself will not tear friendship apart.
