KEEPING IN TOUCH

Old friends should not be forgotten.
Without contact, the bond tends to fade away.
Methods of contact can be numerous
For those who feel they have something to say.
Although people can greatly change,
Part of them still remains the same.
Happy memories can be returned
To those who hear a familiar name.
Close friends going their seperate ways
Often ask each other to keep in touch.
Vacation should not keep them away from
Someone they love so much.
Distant and nearby friends and relatives,
Many people can recall
Because they were willing to keep in touch
In spite of it all.
Generations of friendships form a chain,
Extending for as long as the human race.
Years, even decades, should not rust
Something beyond the limits of time and space.
Rekinddled friendships have a good chance to prosper.
Keeping in touch has a timeless appeal.
New friendships will definitely be made,
But old ones are just as real.
