Perfection is a common goal,
Yet few are willing to pay the toll.
It takes time to do a job right.
Sometimes it means working day and night.
Whether it comes from a crane or a pen,
Things that are done have to be done again.
Gradual improvement from repetition people know
Will eventually start to show.
One who gets better can get better still
As long as he or she has the will
Needed to work on every detail.
Hard workers know they can prevail.
Using all the energy one has got,
Constant effort applied to one spot.
Results from hard work are not always seen
Except by those with an eye that is keen.
Few people know how to appriciate
Quality effort until it is too late.
To be able to apply the winning card
Most people have to work long and hard.
