Whether in the sunlight or in the shade,
Friends are something easily made.
Greatly treasured over the years,
They share each other's hopes, dreams, and fears.
Bonds with friends are supposed to last
In some cases the bonds form really fast.
Constantly trying to do something nice,
Many friends are willing to sacrifice
Personal needs for the needs of another.
One can not handle everything, but friends often cover
Each other when one of them makes a mistake.
Some friends for each other will put everything at stake.
What would one do from day to day
Unless friends help each other out along the way?
During times that are both happy and sad,
Friends can sometimes make each other mad
Yet friendship has the power to survive.
Togetherness often lasts longer than one can stay alive.
Quality of friendship is important too
Which can be strengthened from everything we do.
People with many friends and people with just one
Realize the value of friendship can not be undone.
