CHARITY WORK
By ... Steve Lucky
At times charity work can be hard.
It is more than just giving a business card.
One must be convinced the point of view
That the charity holds makes giving the right thing to do.
Even people supporting such work with their heart
May not with their money be able to part.
Remembering those who gave money before.
Giving tends to make charities want even more.
Financial burdens should not be placed on the few or the one,
Yet charities need such people to get their work done.
When people feel charities have gotten rough,
Sometimes a note of thanks can be more than enough.
Not all charities are for a noble cause,
Learning which one are makes many people pause.
Charity workers, for their cause, are willing to sacrifice
Including people helping charities most people think are not very nice.
Having the majority does not make something right.
Can rightness be determined without it leading to a fight?
Far too often charity work is a thankless job
And one not giving is considered a snob.
Kindness can help almost any charity.
People are motivated most by what they actually see.
