Lord, take my anger and turn it into something useful.
Without a way to control it
Energy released from my own temper is capable of great destruction,
Yet I know that same energy can be
Very beneficial to both myself and others.
My feeble attempts to control this temper
Can not distinguish was is useful from what is destructive.
Lord, take everything.
Only You can see the most beneficial use
For the energy raging inside me.
Anything I can even think of giving to You,
No matter how horrible it may seem to me,
Has a use in Your divine plan.
Good things, bad things, pleasure, and pain
Remain well under Your control.
Human beings have no hope of controlling the world
While we try to do it ourselves.
All things, known and unknown, come from You
So I give You everything.
