The timeless quality of compassion
Enables one to keep on giving.
Kind words may be all that are needed
Regardless of what one does for a living.
Injuries recieved by a child at play
May cause all those around the child to feel
Hurt from the pain and tears they can not stop.
Looking inside themselves, they know their hearts are real.
Since love has no limits of any kind,
Children and adults alike need compassion for others.
Although it can be lost or forgotten,
It can also be improved one discovers.
Feelings of pain may cause others to suffer.
Whether for an instant or a thousand days,
Joy recieved when the suffering ends
Makes it well worth the price one pays.
Serious wounds may not always heal.
Not all solutions are made known.
Outside compassion can not always be found.
Inside is where it should be grown.
