Christmas is the time people think of one another.
The right gift to give they try to discover.
An inexpensive, well planned gift
Can give other people's spirits a lift.
Some give deep thought to every present
Because they want the gift to be pleasant.
Whether or not they expect a perfect day,
Disappointment is bound to come their way.
Gifts are not always what the reciever would have selected.
From their reaction, the giver is effected.
Still it is usually better than no gift at all.
It is important to recall.
The thought really is what counts
More than any measurable amounts.
