          THE BIRTH OF CHRIST

With all the things we have this season,
May we not forget the reason
We have such a joyous feast.
Shepherds and wise men from the East
Came from places near and far.
Lead by the bright and wonderous star
They arrived at a humble manger
Where no one was treated like a stranger.
The Son of God had come to Earth.
In that stable He had His birth.
Jesus was a baby boy
Who brought the world their greatest joy.
Though many gifts we may recieve,
Christ is the one in whom we need to believe.
He gave the greatest gift of all
So once a year we recall
God was once a tiny child
Sent in order to tame wild.
