Blood
BLOOD

When being a hero blood is shed
To keep heroes from continuing their actions.
From open wounds it flows deep red.
To some this only increases attractions.
A hero often works without pay
And frequently recieves abuse in return.
Once everyone has had their say,
Years, perhaps centuries, later they will learn
Who the heroes truly are
And why so many want them destroyed.
Open wounds can leave a scar
So the memory will not be lost in the void.
Heroes can be thrown in the mud,
But the real price is paid in blood.
