I have many things to be thankful for
My own existance and so much more.
Though sometimes I do complain,
I have the things I need to sustain
A reasonably comfortable standard of living.
Enough to be part of the spirit of giving.
I am thankful for sunlight and fresh air.
Simple needs are beyond compare.
Shelter, clothing, water, and food
Keep me in a festive mood.
On almost any given day
People can hear what I have to say.
Being alive and in good health
Is worth more than an abundance of wealth.
I am thankful for the view
Of what other people say and do.
With things more than the money in all banks,
I have many reasons to give thanks.
