TRUST
By ... Steve Lucky
How can people recieve a fair chance
When they are judged by a single glance?
Anyone who is willing to try
Can show there is more than meets the eye.
Parts of their personality
Strangers rarely get to see.
Afraid to show what they have inside,
Good and bad qualities they hide.
Fear can be overcome by trust,
Preferably the kind that will not rust
From unkept promises and false beliefs.
Tribeless drifters and indian chiefs
Know trust is a daily chore.
It requires something more.
Going beyond the call of duty
Is the true nature of its beauty.
Trusting others is needed too
So one can have a better view
Why trust is a good way to stary
Love coming from deep within the heart.
Trust leaves one open to attack
With no way of fighting back.
People can feel really used
With this quality is abused.
Still trusting others is a good way to learn
Better ways for one to earn
The trust of a fearsome, frightened stranger
In any concievable type of danger.
