              THE HIGH ROAD

According to the Bible, Jesus asked His Father
To forgive those who crucified Him
Even as they nailed Him to the cross.
This is the example one must follow.
Extreme morality is far from the easiest path to take,
But why settle for something less
When the high road is directly ahead?
Such a journey will not be easy.
Many obsticles on and near the path
Make it difficult to navigate.
Other roads look tempingly easy,
But the moral high road leads to a better destination.
The view from the top makes the entire journey worthwhile.
