Lord, is it I who will betray
You and the things You have planned?
Are the things I do and say
Going against Your divine command
To trust You with all my heart, mind, and soul
And love my neighbor as myself?
Do I forget to look for your divine goal
When I get too concerned with wealth?
To find the answers to the questions I ask
I look beyond my own limitations.
You can see through any mask
And know the fate of all the nations.
Still I wonder what I did wrong,
What I did right, and what I can do better.
Did the people who wrote Your praise songs
Follow your words down to the letter?
