Hidden Treasure
HIDDEN TREASURE
By ... Steve Lucky
Not everything is easily seen.
Sometimes one has to look.
Most treasure does not come instantly clean,
So it can be mistook
For an object not as cherished
That can be thrown away without being missed.
Years after the object has perished
One may find it was something that should have been kissed.
With no absolute method of telling
What is valuable and what is not,
Anything considered worth selling
Should have a fair price for the value it has got.
Prices are not always measured in money.
Many other valued things can be exchanged.
Something one person thinks is funny
Can cause other lives to be rearranged.
The greatest gift one can give comes from the heart.
Hidden treasure can be found inside.
When one judges a work of art,
The heart of the artist may be the best guide.
