I started to yell at you, then I paused
And thought about the damage I had caused.
When my temper gets the best of me
I may not even be able to see
Another human being, who I might call friend,
If only my help I am willing to extend.
Massive destruction I can never repair
Causes me to just blankly stare
Wondering what might have been
If my current thoughts I had back then.
An apology I offer loud and clear
For anyone who is willing to hear
The many things I have to say
About destruction caused a previous day.
I know someday I will do wrong again
So I will also need an apology then.
