With age comes wisdom so senior citizens
Should be among the wisest of our population.
They may not underatnd all our modern technology,
A sign of the times,
Prefering instead to stick to the basic necessities
For whatever years remaining.
They do, however, remember something about each stage of life
And what the younger people have to face
Once they reach them.
Advice about childhood, puberty, maturing, and growing old
Senior citizens have in abundance.
Their successes and mistakes
Are something from which we can learn.
Plenty of advice they have to give
If only we are willing to listen.
