Sounds from hundreds of instruments,
Blended together in near perfect harmony,
Come from the musicians who watch the conductor
Guiding them through the symphony.
With his baton, the conductor traces
Meaningful patterns into the air.
Each muscian has least one instrument
Ready to go next to his or her chair.
Every instrument has its place
As the conductor urges them along.
Through constant, steady repeptition,
They learn every note of every song.
Any one of them could ruin it
If he or she should ever stall.
Playing the right note at the right time
Is something required by them all.
