             WAITING IN LINE
            By ... Steve Lucky

Waiting in line is not my favorite thing to do.
It wastes my time and obstructs my view.
I realize each of us has to wait our turn,
But waiting in line makes my heart yearn
For the basic freedom of moving about.
Remaining quiet, I want to shout
Impatiently about my progress halting
Due to this line where everyone sounds like they're faulting
Each other for being too slow.
This does not give us room to grow
And learn from each other's mistakes.
Usually I avoid it, but sometimes it takes
Waiting in line to reach my destination.
Therefore, I need to handle my own fustration.
