From many different places they come to the convention
To share an interest in the planned activities.
More things are going on than anyone can mention
Because the variations come in wide varieties.
Unusual costumes are worn by some
Helping bring a favorite part of fantasy to life.
Vidoes and artwork are seen by those who come
Reminding them creativity is mightier than any knife.
Trouble is almost guaranteed to appear,
Some of it accidental and some of it not.
Problem solvers will always be near
Ready to give it all they have got.
At conventions fortunes are made
And if one is not careful they can also be lost.
It is not always easy to find decent shade
Because some things are needed at any cost.
