ONE AT A TIME By ... Steve Lucky
One At A Time
ONE AT A TIME
By ... Steve Lucky
I could not rip a phone book in half
If I tried to do it all at once,
So I rip it one page at a time.
A list of jobs needing to be done
Can wear me out just looking at it
Unless I handle it one job at a time.
It takes many buildings to create a city.
Running a marathon requires a constant, steady pace.
The water flowing into a stream or river
Rarely reaches the ocean overnight.
When a task appears too big for me,
I concentrate on the part within my reach
And try to complete it, one part at a time.
The challenges I face in life
Will be far too much for me
Unless I face them one day at a time.
