Using the internet I can talk
To many people in different places.
Cities too far away for me to walk
Can be reached at convinient paces.
Modern medicine has allowed our lifespan
To double in a few hundred years.
When something needs cooking I know I can
Put it in the microwave without any fears.
Satillite and cable give me hundreds of channels
When I use to get just three or four.
If something does not work I look at the pannels,
And wonder what each one is for.
The same technology helping us
Can destroy us when placed in the wrong hands.
Lost luggage from a plane or bus
Is a risk existing in many lands.
People are the ones to watch
With technology that can save or destroy.
Tools that wound or kill with a horrible botch
Should not be treated like a toy.
