It is no use living in the past.
Looking ahead at the days to come,
I wonder if I am ready
For the things I will have to face.
Will my nation soon be at war?
How does one fight an unidentified enemy?
It is not a question of if,
But when another disaster will occur.
What can be done about it?
The future brings more questions than answers.
I need to keep my mind
On the here and now.
Future preparation should not come
At the expense of the moment.
More immediate needs can be found
Right in front of me.
People I know I will see again soon
Are my main concern at the moment.
They will need help just like I do.
No sense in hiding.
Time to face the future,
One day at a time.
