             PEACE
       By ... Steve Lucky

Observing around me a war I can see
Not involving the army of any country
The nature of it is a personal one
With plans of revenge better left undone,
Futher fueled by the flames of hate
Which in the long run are really not that great.
My job is not to distribute blame,
But find a way to end this shame.
It is something I feel compelled to stop.
Who will make the effort if I will not?
My attempt may be futile, but still I must try
For some of these people are willing to die.
Multiple people are needed for both war and peace.
The desire for peace I want to increase.
No war has to be eternal.
Both sides now know I think this is infernal.
I wait for replies from either side.
It is up to them to change the tide.
